COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

College Care Packages - due March 20th (assembled Friday, March 24th)
We are in need of the following:
50 pens
50 Rice Krispie Treats
70 bags of chips
70 granola bars
70 packs of gum
70 packs of cookies
70 candy bars
Hope Academy - due Sunday, March 26th (all Masses)
Much like the "40 day" initiatives, this year we are encouraging our parish families to donate to Hope Academy. Hope Academy is a long-term, non-traditional residential treatment program, one of the programs run by Fr. Frank Pizzarelli's Hope House Ministries. As a family, come up with a way to collect funds using one of your Lenten fasting sacrifices (a swear jar, the money you'd put toward Starbucks, video games, etc.). To make it fun, decorate a small lunch size paper bag, fill it every time you'd spend money on something you've given up, and bring that bag with you to church on Sunday, March 26th (all Masses), and place it in the boat by the baptismal font. We have bags here if you need one. The boat is already up, so if you'd like to bring in a donation earlier, you can certainly do so.
Every year we get close to 5,000 Easter Eggs for our annual Easter Egg Hunt after the 9:30 & 9:45 Mass on Easter Sunday and give close to 200 Easter Baskets to Our Daily Bread for their Easter dinner. That is due to the tremendous efforts of our Level 7 & 8 candidates and their families.
EASTER HELP
We are asking for jelly bean filled and taped plastic Easter eggs for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday and Easter baskets for the families who visit our Wednesday Food Pantry and the children who visit Our Daily Bread.
Your cooperation is always most appreciated.
Level 7
Easter Baskets: We're asking Level 7 students to make Easter Baskets for the Pantry & Our Daily Bread. 2 baskets = 1 hr. These baskets should be wrapped and returned to the CHURCH BASEMENT (Smith Hall) by MONDAY, APRIL 3rd.
Level 8
Easter Eggs: We're asking Level 8 students to fill and tape plastic Easter Eggs with jelly beans for our annual Easter Egg Hunt after masses on Easter Sunday. 100 taped eggs = 1 hr.
Please have these returned to the Parish Center room 105 by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5th.
